Marco Poma

"My visual research sinks modern and minimal architecture in a suspended and metaphysical atmosphere" 

Marco Poma, born in 1992, originally from Chivasso (TO), I am an artist specialized in intaglio engraving techniques. In July 2019, after completing my path in art graphics at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, I attended the Polytechnic of Valencia for a year thanks to an Erasmus scholarship. This experience has allowed me to further expand my graphic research. I currently live in Florence, where I attend the specialization course at the prestigious Il Bisonte Foundation, International School for the Study of Graphic Art. My visual research sinks modern and minimal architecture in a suspended and metaphysical atmosphere, through the use of strong tonal contrasts and shades of black obtained with a combination of traditional and experimental techniques. The figurative elements are nothing but metaphors of the individual and his relationship with society, mirrors and projections that emerge and immerse themselves in the lights and shadows of our individual construction process.
